A selection of projects during my time as Senior Product Design Manager for VIZIO, Inc., managing a team and designing delightful experiences for the 10-foot user interface and mobile. Continually pushed myself and the team to innovate in the highly competitive smart tv industry.
VIZIO Mobile App:
New Audio Experience
An immersive and easy to use experience that showcases the power of VIZIO's ATMOS soundbars. With a challenge directly from the CEO to bring more innovative thinking and design to the VIZIO mobile app, I focused on creating an easier and more immersive experience for audio controls, which are the primary touchpoint for VIZIO's award-winning ATMOS soundbars.
Gathering feedback from users and the wealth of opinions on the current app from Reddit and other forums, I found a clear need for simplicity and performance. The solutions below solved these pain points by simplifying the EQ to themed environments based on the current content and listening preferences. I designed intuitive and real-time controls so the user could adjust and hear the changes to their ATMOS sound field in real-time and dial it in perfectly to their tastes and location.

Concept for partnership with Smule to bring karoake to your VIZIO smart TV.
At VIZIO, leadership is always looking for ways to expand our products' utility beyond just streaming. This concept transforms your TV into a personal karaoke experience, live from your living room. Strategically partnering with industry leader SMULE would bring their extensive library and community to your television experience. This concept explores using your VIZIO TV in a beautiful and compelling new way, showcasing your photos, music, and even the weather on the largest screen in your home. The interactions are unobtrusive and straightforward, bringing beautiful photographs and videos to the center stage.
