Confidential Cybersecurity Endpoint & Cloud Platform

An early-stage international startup I joined as Head of Design, leading product design strategy and supporting marketing creative initiatives. With the company split among remote US, New York City, and Rome, Italy, active coordination and clear communication was vital to maintain the rapid velocity needed to go to market quickly.

'HELIOS'

ENDPOINT MONITORING DASHBOARD
Launched during the pandemic, the need to secure distributed and at-home workers was at its peak. We designed a platform that utilized local hardware endpoints paired with cloud intelligence and monitoring, delivering robust enterprise-level cybersecurity to the distributed worker, wherever they are.

RESEARCH, DATA GATHERING, AND ORGANIZATION
Working closely with customers, executives, security analysts, and other stakeholders, we gathered the use cases, data, and context needed to explore workflows and information hierarchies. As some target users don't possess deep cybersecurity knowledge, these workflows must be intuitive, with clear affordances and paths, while educating the user on critical information.

WIREFRAMING AND EARLY PROTOTYPING
Through many iterations, reviews, and tests, we developed multiple wireframes for several user flows and user types. This process produced constant refinement and progress, allowing us to build prototypes and gather feedback more quickly.

HIGH FIDELITY PROTOTYPES FOR DESKTOP, TABLET, AND MOBILE
After many iterations, we developed a design language that was clear, accessible, and available in light and dark mode for desktop, tablet, and mobile. With a diverse library of use cases, the screen layouts needed to be responsive to many devices.
